I've finally found a place of peace within the city - and online shopping!

My long term problem has always been my petite height. I wear the most white before labor day, just before the time runs out! 

Shoes are girl's best friend, and these super comfortable Lucky Brand strappy sandals are the perfect pop of leather to tie in this skinny belt that I picked up from a boutique awhile ago. 

For the last touch I added this necklace from The Shopping Bag which tied in all the coloring of this outfit together perfectly. The lightweight gold strands plays right into the current fringe trend too! Plus, I'm all about this turquoise coloring in the summer!

One more thing...this nail color? It matches so perfectly to the cardigan. I love Pacifica's nail polishes, each color is so rich and vibrant! This one is called Pool Party.

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

Hello There! Have eye mentioned how much eye love Chicago? Cheesy, but I couldn't help making those puns the whole day while in this outfit. 

I've mentioned before how much I love street style, so I wanted to twist the usual boyfriend jeans and extra cool top and extremely adorable sunglasses that I've seen in those famous Tumblr photos and wear...a shift dress. It's comfortable, cute, and I never wanted to take it off (well, except when on a 5 hour airport delay...after I missed my flight...oops. You might already know the story if you follow me on Snapchat @SInsideMyCloset! Let's just say I wasn't back home snuggled in my bed until well into the wee hours of the morning. Yikes.) 

This baby blue Eye-Catching Sleeveless Shift Dress from The Shopping Bag gave me some major fashion feels. The high collar makes it look so modern and the print had people all over the city stopping me and asking me where I got this dress! It's the perfect thing to throw on when you don't have the time to piece a full outfit together, but still want to hit the maximum style level. It's the perfect focal point that will have everyone's eyes on you!

I wanted to keep everything very simple and very comfortable with this dress due to the eye catching print (last one!). I've been on the hunt for a good pair of flats for a long time, even though I don't fancy wearing flats on the usual. I was smitten when I found this pair of nude Lucky Brand flats. The insoles are extra padded so it feels like you're walking on a mattress everywhere you go - I was super lucky to find these. Ok, enough with the puns, I know, I'm on a roll! 

My go-to traveling purse is this black shoulder / hand bag from Kate Spade New York. The shoulder strap is perfect for when you're roaming city streets or hustling through the airport, and it's spacious interior is definitely a major plus. I'm a sucker for good basic black accessories and clothing - they take up most of my wardrobe. I just find it so much easier to put on the simple things - so when you really get all dolled up, it's extra special. 

To sum this look up, it was the perfect outfit to prance around Michigan Ave. and Barney's New York in! Who else is a sucker for a good beauty department? I loved getting my makeup done at the Nars counter (even though I got a little bit too glammed for just a day out - but can you ever really be too glammed up?)

As I shopped around one of my favorite avenues in the world, I definitely had my favorite picks at each store that I stopped at. Hermes? The Hac Birkin 32 in black, obviously. Tory Burch? Junction Riding Boots (perfect for fall)! Jimmy Choo? Myth Suede Ankle Boots. YSL? Leather Biker Jacket...since I already found the perfect YSL lipstick! Chanel? Literally anything. Although, success is measured in whether or not you have a Chanel tweed skirt suit. I mean, at least for me...

Back To School Favorites

Happy Friday, everyone! Back to school season is coming up quick, so I think that it's the prime time to share some stylish favorites of mine that will make going back to school easier than it seems! 

1. Jackie Black Carry-All Tote Bag from The Shopping Bag

I love using different kind of bags as a back pack for school. It changes it up so you stand out from the crowd - not to mention how cute it looks! No more streak marks or accidental deodorant marks on clothing!

This quote is just perfect for housing all your cute pencil and pens. I did my best...at making it through the school day! I love the light pink stripes and how it looks so fresh and fun. Nordstroms is the place to get your back to school essentials (especially fall clothing! Swoon!)

4. Nap Time Hiker Tank from Wildfox Couture

Literally this tank is me everyday - especially during the school year. Nothing like falling asleep during first period...or any period for that matter. Wildfox has stolen my heart for my favorite graphic tees and sweatshirts. They're all so funny - and all so true!

5. Bye Felicia Water Bottle from A Cup Of Quotes

Instagram Recap | July

Whoa. It's August already?! I feel like I'm always so surprised that a new month is here every time one rolls around, but I honestly feel like time is just flying by lately. Especially with the back to school season here...it seems like summer is coming to an incredibly quick close. But! Before I begin, I want to reflect on this hot (and humid. and rainy.) month of July through Instagram snapshots!

1. Waldorf Wardrobe! This post is a coming close to being one of my favorite outfit post on my blog. But yet again, I feel like I say that whenever I post a new outfit post. With so many clothing combinations - who could ever have a favorite? 

2. Robe up! Whenever I get to a hotel I search for the robes. They're just so nice to lounge around in, and seeing this sunset over Chicago from my terrace at the Waldorf made that day so simply sweet!

3. City views and statement earrings. This post made me fall in love all over again with these statement earrings from The Shopping Bag. The gold fringe on the bottom moved with every step I took which made them so lively and lovely!

4. Nice to meet ya! I was to incredibly tickled pink to meet Corri McFadden from eDrop Off and Jacey Duprie from Damsel In Dior at the Simply Stylist Conference in Chicago. They were so lovely and made me feel even more inspired than I was before. 

5. The ultimate #OOTD. Going to a fashion and style conference definitely made me want to up my game in the outfit of the day department. I love this set from RVN that's so minimalist and chic. Love!

6. Beep Beep! I couldn't help but share my excitement on my Instagram when I drove home in my new Fiat 5X 2016! Yeah, 2016! I'm a sucker for black cars, and this one definitely stole my heart.

7. Meet me in the beauty department! When a girl is on Michigan Ave., you know very well that you're going to see her trot into Bloomingdales. The beauty department was insanely amazing (shoutout to Heather at the YSL Beauty department - she's such a lovely person, and her knowledge for makeup is fascinating.) You can definitely bet I left with quite a few Little, Medium, and Big Brown Bags!
