The Night Before A Blog Post
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The presents were hidden for friends and family with care,
in the hopes that in the morning, some fashionable items would be there.
Everyone else were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of fashions danced in their heads.
And me and my DVF dress, my earrings from The Shopping Bag too,
had just awoken to open a gift or two.
When atop the clock there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to the floor to open the gifts whilst my heart went pitter patter.
Away with the wrapping I tore like a flash,
Tore open the box and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a new pair of Charles David Mary Janes fit for this dear.
With a beating heart and hands so lively and quick,
I threw on the shoes to find they were just the right fit.
More rapid than eagles I tore open another,
and found a Chanel lipstick in such a lovely color!
To the top of my closet, from the top of my wish list! Now sparkle! Sparkle away! Sparkle away!
...
I sprang to my computer, my blog on my mind,
to let my readers know how they were so kind!
But in the post too, I couldn't help but write,
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
