If you didn't know by now, DVF is one of my favorite designers. It's not only because I love every item of every season, but who doesn't adore DVF's way of living? Love is life life is love...

I've basically written a love letter about DVF in my The Woman I Want To Be post. Honestly, go read her books and you'll be looking at life in a whole different way. My way of life? 

Making everyday sparkle. 

This delicate sequin black lace top by DVF is what I live for at the moment. It's delicate, but it's sparkle and shine adds a playful element. The intricate but simplistic work makes it a show stopper and the main focal point of any outfit. To keep it that way, I paired it with what I like to call the basic blogger skirt.

What blogger haven't you seen this type of skirt on before? It's a great basic and who doesn't live for those, "Oh! You caught me mid twirl with everything from my hair down to my shoes perfected! I look like I'm having a great time, don't I?" 

I'm not being pessimistic, just poking a little fun at what we all do, including myself...Waldorf Wardrobe post anyone? Anyways, this perfect black skirt is by Tibi. Although I don't tend to gravitate towards longer skirts like this, it's nice to come out of your comfort zone once in awhile. 

But what oddly enough keeps me comfortable is high heels. I can't get enough of them and don't have enough of them, although my closet would say otherwise. This go-to pair black pump is by Steve Madden in the version Proto. Comfortable and a classic, like me but without the bad puns or very sarcastic humor. 

Jewelry! Now this is what makes an outfit sparkle. This Juniper Tassel Drop Earrings are from The Shopping Bag. Fringe is in, and so are big earrings - so why not combine the two? That's exactly what these earrings did. They're so lightweight as well! I cannot get enough of them.

Illuminating Monday

Hello Monday - and hello to you! Yes, I admit, I've been dropping the ball on blogging lately, but life got busy and Fashion Week started...and now we're here. So, how does one integrate themselves back into the blogging world? With a luxe for less look that totally screams Kim Kardashian / Kendall Jenner.

Although I am not blessed with the sought after famous butt or curves, this girl doesn't mind snagging some style tips from the famous E! clan. What Kim Kardashian has been all about lately is draping a jacket over her shoulders. This look ( although to anyone else it just looks like someone didn't have enough time to put on their coat) is very fashion forward and a minimalist way to add a chic look to your outfit when you're in my situation - racing to get out the door on time. Anyhoo, this superb chic and super soft jacket is from The Shopping Bag. I love the structure of this coat and the light grey color that blends perfectly with this navy two piece.

Curve hugging two pieces like this navy wrap one from The Shopping Bag reads very Kendall Jenner. It's straight forward, chic, minimalist, and the knit style fabric once again makes me feel like I almost have my pajamas on instead of something super fabulous. 

To round out the minimalist nature that this outfit promotes, a nude shoe is the perfect pair to have on hand when your running out the door. This strappy pair from Nine West is super comfortable and all the rage. There hasn't been one stylish celebrity that I haven't seen this shoe on! 

There's two more things that make this a total Kim K. approved outfit - the lips and the lighting. My go-to make up touch up before leaving the house is this Sara Happ light pink color from The Shopping Bag. It moisturizes your lips all the while making them look naturally lovely...for selfies. Yep, if you've been wondering what glorious case Kim Kardashian has that lights up her selfies as if she was in a shoot - it's the Lumee. The whole front of the screen lights up with the click of the button...and it has definitely illuminated this Monday look!
